Dr. JP Saleeby is a medical doctor (MD) with a focus and interest in integrative, complementary and alternative medicine. He applies the principles of traditional western allopathic medicine with select well studied and researched elements of alternative medicine such as Ayurvedic, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM): Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. He also borrows from naturopathy and nutritional / natural medicine.
He believes in a very well balanced and
sensible integration of the many discipline of medicine,
individualized for each of his patient clients. As a
graduate of the Medical College of Georgia, having obtained
post-graduate training at East Carolina School of Medicine in
North Carolina he spent the last 18 years in the field of
primary care and emergency medicine. He dedicated his
field of study through continuing medical education in the
direction of preventive medicine, nutritional medicine and
fostered an integrative mentality and
approach.
Dr.
Saleeby opened his solo practice in 1998 in Savannah, GA
and operated the first totally dedicated integrative center in
the region with two acupuncturists, therapeutic massage
therapists and a naturopath until 2004 when relocation was
required. He carried the spirit of the practice via telemedicine until 2009 when he
expanded his private practice to much of North & South
Carolina. Having a mobile practice, Dr. Saleeby can take
his novel brand of medical care to a wider patient base.
This new style or paradigm in medicine serves his patients
better than the current managed
care model that has shown itself destructive to
the patient-physician relationship.
